Moving old grapevines is not easy. Grape root is deeper compared to other types of plants. They do not produce too much roots, but the ones they will grow extend deeper into the earth.

This can make growing grapes very difficult, as you have to dig deep enough to capture the entire root system. In this old vineyard, it was a success with a backhoe. In the garden house, however, self-digging and lots of sweat are the best way to grow grapes. Therefore, small vines are popular if necessary for transplantation.
